Kuantan is a town located at the east coast of Pahang. Known formerly as Teruntum Village as it was built around the Teruntum River. The state capital of Pahang which is the largest state in Peninsular Malaysia, Kuantan faces the South China Sea and hosts a city with various attractions.

Kuantan offers the tourists various opportunities to experience the nature of Malaysia. The East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia is famous for its white sandy beaches and renowned resorts that are all lined up. Spanning about 55 kilometers, one would definitely be spoilt for choice. Kuantan is served by the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport and you can get here through domestic airline services provided by Malaysia Airlines, the national air carrier that comes here from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Air Asia that flies here from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal, both located in Sepang respectively. Sultan Ahmand Shah is the official name for the airport in Kuantan and it is named using the name of the current Sultan of Pahang. The airport is located 15 km from the capitol of Pahang called Kuantan.
